November -8-9-10- 2013 ~ NAJGA - VJGA Special Seminar
« on: October 20, 2013, 12:00:20 PM »
           All,...
In conversation with the organizers of the Special Seminar of the Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association and the NAJGA, the closing date is approaching rapidly (Oct 24) for attending the Kurisu & Yamada sessions as well as the private tour of gardens in Vancouver BC. There are only a few spaces left.

link and write-up for Kurisu (Web Showcase) is on our Frontpage: http://www.japanesegardening.org/

PDF from our JGO frontpage is : http://www.japanesegardening.org/docs/VJGA_Info.pdf

this Special Seminar is open to everyone with an interest in Japanese gardens, and is of special interest to those interested in the healing aspects of gardens (Kurisu) as well as bringing forward historic design into todays day and age (Yamada). Perhaps a greater value for those building their own gardens, is the bus tour of the Nitobe; Momiji gardens, and the opening of doors to private gardens that have been built over the last 50 some years by the Vancouver Japanese Gardeners Association. (which, quite frankly, are astounding)
Should any of you attend, I look forward to seeing you there...                         edzard

I've been dreaming about going ... so many things about this particular workshop attract me ... but we've just gotten back from three weeks gone and there is this stack of work to do. I've got a lecture to give in Kona on the 7th. Even looked at planes from Kona! but it doesn't fit.
Ah ... phooey.
Guess I'll just have to see you (and Nitobe and Yamada-san and Kurisu-san and...) another time.
Have a wonderful workshop and come up with some thoughts on future articles.
Much aloha,
KT
