Hatsume Fair ____________________________________________________________

Celebrating the first bud of spring, The Morikami’s largest annual event, Hatsume, transforms the normally tranquil Morikami Park into a unique Japanese spring festival. Hatsume Fair features three stages with continuous entertainment including taiko drummers, a Japanese tea ceremony, martial art demonstrations, bonsai demonstrations, and much more. Also included are avenues of artisan booths, plant sales, Asian and American food vendors and children’s activities.

SAVE THE DATE for next year's Hatsume Fair on Saturday, March 23 & Sunday, March 24, 2013. For more information, visit www.morikami.org/hatsume.

A couple of years ago I was in the neighborhood of Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens and made the effort to go to Hatsume Fair. It was outstanding. I encourage anyone in the Florida area near Delray Beach to plan a visit. If large crowds, craft booths, fun activities and live entertainment aren't your thing, go on another day. The Morikami is a garden not to be missed. And the young people in anime/manga character attire during the Hatsume Festival are fun to see.
