Hello from Germany
« on: November 18, 2011, 08:16:06 AM »
Hello from Bremerhaven, Germany!

..today, an foggy cold day, typical autumn weather, lovely and warm greetings to everybody! Now, is the best time to think and talk about things what I (we) can do in the next garden season.

My name is Iris and I´m happy to be here!

The heart beats for bonsai, koi, ikebana and japanese gardening. I hope to find like-minded people to talk about this beautfull work and hobby!

Have a nice weekend
Iris

Iris,  beautiful, and is everything from your yard.  What is nice about Ikebana, as you know, very little material is needed to create beauty.

@all.....thank you, for your greetz :)

@June
Every time I create a new Ikebana, I walk through the forrest, have a look for the right bough or moss.
This Ike have an alnus bough from the forest. From my garden tulips, iberis sempervirenz, skimmia japonica.

If you create an ikebana, you have an idea created by nature, nature is the inspiration, so it looks lightly
but this is the difficulty. The basic is math. like pythagoras without an numerary but with the meaning
sky, human, earth. In this Ike is the alnus the sky, tulips human, skimmia & iberis the earth.

Hi Iris,
 Nice Ikebana! There definitely is an underlying philosophy between Ikebana and Japanese gardening. My wife is a teacher in the Ikenobo school, do you train in a particular school? Happy Holidays :)
