Title: Aloha
Post by: Alohabetty on January 29, 2012, 02:43:41 AM
Aloha from Hawaii. I've been working on my Japanese garden for many months. This is my first attempt after reading, reading, reading and looking at lots of pictures. When the garden is finished I will post some pictures and ask for comments and suggestions. I would like to thank all those who have posted pictures or given advise. It has been a delight to work my way through this site. Mahalo   8)

I live on Oahu and love looking at the ocean. We live on the central plain which is higher than Pearl Harbor and Honolulu. I always have a great view of the ocean when I'm out. My garden sent below ground level so I have a secluded area but I love it now. I'll try to post some pictures this weekend.

Thanks for the welcome to you and everyone else that replied. I'll work on a list of places to see but my favorite one isn't a public garden at all but the view from a Japanese restaurant at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. The largest is at the Byodo-in  Temple on the windward or Kaneohe side of the island Link: www.byodo-in.com/ Check the pictures out on that link.
